2004 was her first season on the AVP Tour, and she placed fifth three times despite having to go through the qualifier in her first three events. In 2005, she and partner Tyra Turner finished as the fourth-ranked team on the tour. They twice advanced to the semifinals and had eight fifth-place finishes.

Led the nation in blocks her senior year at the University of Washington, and was named first-team All-America that season. Was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection and graduated ranking second in career blocks in the conference. Also finished fifth in the Pac-10 in the high jump in 1996-97, and her mark of 5’10” remains as the fifth best in school history. Played on the U.S. National team from 1998-2000.

She was born in Fiji and moved to Vancouver, B.C. (Canada) when she was 10. She is the oldest of eight step-siblings (six girls, two boys). Holds dual citizenship in both Canada and the U.S., and speaks three languages (English, Fijian, French).

While training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, met gymnast Blaine Wilson, a five-time National Champion and three-time Olympian. The couple married in 2001 and have a daughter, Wakaya (named after a Fijian island), born in 2002, as well as two english bulldogs (Chops and Kayla). 

Role Models: Tiger Woods and Karch Kiraly, because I admire their hard work, how they present themselves and how they represent their sports. They're very classy individuals... Favorite Meal: pasta, Japanese food

If you weren't playing professional volleyball, what would you be doing? I would be working for a non-profit organization helping the community in some way if I weren’t playing professional volleyball.
