College: Doherty played beach volleyball at Saint Leo's University in Florida. After not competing her first two seasons, she went 9-8 as a junior on court five. Then as a senior she finished with a 9-6 match record, mostly on court five.
Personal: Doherty's mother, Renee, played college basketball at Misericordia. She was captain of her high school volleyball team and a four-year starter, in addition to lettering in basketball and soccer.
