2025: Cory played five AVP tournaments with four
different partners. He placed ninth in the season opener with Tri
Bourne, then had four straight semifinals in Tour Series events. He was
third with Caleb Kwekel, second with Derek Bradford, then won twice with
Troy Field. On the season Cory ended with a 21-3 match record.
Internationally Cory played three World Tour events with Tri Bourne,
with a best of ninth, then twice with Derek Bradford. He also played two
NORCECA events with Bradford, winning one gold medal. 2024: Cory
played five AVP events with Alison Cerutti, winning a pair of Tour
Series events. They finished fifth, seventh and ninth on the Heritage
Series. Cory and Wyatt Harrison lost in the qualifier of a World Tour
event, then Cory and Cody Caldwell advanced from a pair of Challenge
event qualifiers and won a gold medal and then placed seventh. Cory and
Harrison won three medals in their three NORCECA tournaments, winning
two silvers and a gold. 2023: Cory had three partners in his seven AVP tournaments. He had a best of fifth in his two outings with Logan Webber,
then had a best of seventh twice in four events with Troy Field. Cory
ended the year with a ninth on the Tour Series with Avery Drost. Cory
was eliminated in the qualifier in six of his seven World Tour events,
including three with Webber, two with Field and one with Cody Caldwell.
He also played a Futures event with Field and won a gold medal. 2022: Cory
began a partnership with Billy Kolinske, and they played in eight AVP
tournaments together. They placed second in a pair of Tour Series events
and had a fifth in Atlanta. Cory played the last three AVP tournaments
with three different partners. He had a seventh with both Dave Palm and
Paul Lotman, then a ninth with Marty Lorenz. Cory played five World Tour
events with two different partners. He lost in the qualifier in both
tournaments alongside Kolinske, then advanced from three qualifiers to
reach the main draw in Challenge events with Logan Webber, with a best
of fourth. Cory and Kolinske also played twice on the NORCECA Tour,
winning a silver then a gold. 2021: Cory and Logan
Webber played in all three AVP tournaments. The duo finished ninth in
Manhattan Beach, the first main draw ever for Cory. 2020: Did not compete. 2019: Cory played in three AVP qualifiers with three different partners, John Hamilton, Kevin Villela and Jon Justice. 2018: Cory and Seth Braquet played in one AVP qualifier. 2017: Cory and Josh Hamilton played in three qualifiers. 2016: Cory played one AVP qualifier with Josh Hamilton. 2015: Cory made his AVP debut at the age of 17 in New Orleans, losing in the qualifier alongside Derek Zimmerman.
College: Cory
played four seasons at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, and
was the first male player from Louisiana to play Division I volleyball.
He led the team in kills all four years, led the nation in aces (.64 per
set) as a junior and he had one of two triple-doubles (with 14 kills,
20 assists and 10 digs) in Division I-II his senior season. He left the
school as the all-time leader in kills (1,249), aces (155) and digs
(585) and was second in blocks (281). Cory graduated Summa Cum Laude
with a degree in accounting and finance. Personal:
Cory has one sister, Hayden. He was Valedictorian at his high school
and captain of his beach volleyball team. In October 2025 he married
fellow pro beach volleyball player Savvy Simo.
