In her first career main draw, in Hermosa Beach in 2019, Muno along with Crissy Jones qualified as the 47th seeds, tying for the fifth lowest seeded team to advance to the main draw in AVP history. Then as the 24th-seeded main draw team, became the lowest seeded team in AVP history to reach the semifinals, placing third.
In the Hermosa Beach 2019 run from the qualifiers to the semifinals, Muno and Crissy Jones set a record by playing in 11 matches in one event (10 of which were elimination matches)
• Entering the 2020 season, Muno had played in nine events between the AVP and FIVB Youth tournaments. She had been eliminated in eight of those in a three-set match.

2019: In her first full season on the beach, Muno teamed with Crissy Jones to play in five AVP tournaments. the pair were eliminated in the qualifier in their first event, but in their second outing in Hermosa Beach, they won four qualifying matches to reach the main draw and placed third. Since they lost their first round match, Muno and Jones had to win nine elimination matches (four in the qualifier, five in the contender's bracket) tin order to secure their third place finish. The duo placed ninth in each of their last three events. She ended the year ranked second on the Tour in digs (7.11 per set) and fourth in kills (7.32 per set).
2016: Muno and Abril Bustamante advanced from the qualifier to place 17th in the FIVB Under 21 World Championships in Switzerland.
2014: Muno placed fifth at both the FIVB U-19 World Championships in Portugal, with Crissy Jones, and the Youth Olympic Games in China with Skylar Caputo. In both of those tournaments she was eliminated by Megan McNamara and Nicole McNamara, the twin sisters who would later become Muno's teammates at UCLA.
2013: Muno made her pro beach volleyball debut at the age of 17 in an AVP qualifier in Huntington Beach with Sarah Sponcil, who was also playing in her first career AVP event. The pair lost in the match to get into the main draw in three sets, losing 19-17 in the third set.

College: Muno played four seasons of indoor volleyball at UCLA, where she was twice an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American. She left the school ranked fourth in career digs (1,607), and set the school single match record with 38 digs. Muno then competed for three years in beach volleyball at UCLA, compiling a 73-15 career record on the sand, mostly at the number three position.

Personal: Born Susannah Muno, she often goes by Zana. Muno's father, Lawrence, played football in college while his mother, Kimberly, is a former golfer. She has an older brother, JJ, who played baseball at UC Santa Barbara, where he played in the 2016 College World Series, and was drafted into the Chicago White Sox organization. As a 16-year old, Muno became the first athlete to win the "triple crown" of junior beach volleyball as she won the three major AAU National Tour events in one year, accomplishing that not only in a four-week span but also doing so with different partners in all three events. She was chosen as the 2012 AAU Beach Volleyball Player of the Year.
