College: Martinez plays beach volleyball at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. As a freshman she played mostly on court one with Piper Ferch, compiling a 19-19 record while earning all-conference honors. As a sophomore she went 27-11 while playing almost exclusively on court one with Ella Connor. They were the Big West Pair of the Year and she was named AVCA All-American. Martinez went 30-8 as a junior on court two with Logan Walter, then as a senior she finished 36-3 with Walter, mostly on court two but also going 7-0 on court one. She was a three-time AVCA All-American, and Martinez and Walter broke the school record for most wins by a pair in a single season (36) as well as career (66). Martinez ended her career tied with Ella Connor for the most career individual wins in program history (112).
Personal: Martinez has a younger sister, Shayla, who also plays beach volleyball.
